Executive Director of People

Come join our client's award winning full-service advertising agency in Orange County as their Executive Director of People!

The Executive Director of People is responsible for developing and implementing people strategies for employee engagement.  This role will also ensure talent management, organizational development, succession planning and learning initiatives are aligned with the agency's philosophies supporting a high performance, creative environment. 

Responsibilities 
As part of the leadership team you will develop People Operations programs in support of agency mission and values. 


Coach leaders in developing organizational and leadership capabilities.


Create and execute talent planning, and improve the on-boarding experience for new employees joining our team.


Lead organization design activities and streamline and implement new organization structures and processes that create speed and efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands.


Partner in the development and execution of talent review and succession planning initiatives.


Communicate with the company's leadership team on the status of key initiatives and programs as necessary at all levels of the company. 


Requirements 
8-10 years of experience in an ad agency, digital agency or internet company is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management required.

Operated at the leadership level for a 400+ person agency.

Must know California employment laws and be up to date on all new legislation.

Provide strategic leadership for the human resources team.

Must be able to build rapport with executive level management.

Strong experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.

Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to drive to an agreement.

Extensive experience managing labor compliance requirements.

Must have strong knowledge of Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, Leadership and Organizational Development, Employee Relations, and Succession Planning. 


Exceptional relationship building skills.

Direct investigations of reports of misconduct or illegal activities of employees.

Prepare HR reports for management staff.
