Full Time role with Well-Known Foundation

Digital Communications Coordinator/Strategist needed to work on social media and other digital communications for the.  Will be working in Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.  Will be working with internal and external stakeholders.  LOTS of social media work.  There is room for growth if this person is interested in PR.  The team is small and collaborative.

The Digital Communications Specialist oversees social media and digital communications for the Foundation and Fund. He/She will be responsible for creating compelling and share-worthy stories that convey the impact of these efforts, including efforts to support associates, veterans and communities recovering from natural disasters. The successful candidate will be a strong writer and creative storyteller who is experienced in web and social strategy. He/She must be familiar with social listening and able to gather data to effectively analyze metrics and make recommendations based on results.


50% Social Media Strategy and Content: Create engaging content to be shared via social media channels. Identify, write and post stories and visual assets. Grow social media audience and engagement through strategic channel management.
25% Digital Communications: Develop strategy for using online properties for storytelling and engagement with consumers and nonprofit partners. Strategy should be inclusive of content, layout, functionality and the right traffic-driving approach. Cross-collaborate with marketing.
25% Additional Communications Activities: Support the communications team with additional activities including associate communications, media relations, speaking engagements and nonprofit partner materials.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Preferred Qualifications:

3 plus years of relevant work experience with at least two years in a full-time social media or digital communications for a brand, nonprofit, digital/PR or marketing agency or media company.
Strong experience writing online and offline content for external and internal audiences.
Experience creating compelling and share-worthy visual content.
Proficient in social media channel management.
Familiarity with social media listening and analytics tools.
Keen understanding of social media best practices and tools.
Experience working with content management systems.
Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in web design and development.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Solid project management skills.
Excellent writing skills, particularly for web and social media.
Proven editorial skills with the ability to modify tone for varied audiences.
Creative thinker with the ability to translate ideas into shareable content.
Able to build and maintain relationships across a large network
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment that requires self- motivation, personal responsibility, incredible attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Team player willing to take on any task.
Familiarity with media relations a plus.
