HR Generalist for Leading Apparel Brand- North San Diego
Leading Apparel Brand located in Carlsbad looking for an HR Generalist to join their team!

Role and Responsibilities:
This is a dual role between Payroll and Human Resources
Maintains confidentiality and privacy of personal and business information according to best practices
Processes payroll for payroll on a weekly basis through ADP, for 150+ employees
Process federal (IRS), state (FTB) and other wage garnishments as needed
Develops and sustains effective working relationships with company leaders and employees
Administers benefits and answers related questions from employees
Handles employee relations issues and investigates problems, reports findings, and makes recommendations for actions
Manages full-cycle recruiting
Implements and coordinates internal policies and programs as well as responds to inquiries
Manages employee leave of absences
Performs new employee orientation when needed
Maintains employee records and updates HRIS
Stays abreast of state and federal laws and ensures Company compliance
Generates reports for company leadership team as needed
Adheres to company guidelines and procedures for recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration
Translates documents as needed – English/Spanish
Coordinates and manages annual employee events calendar
Participates and leads a variety of Human Resources projects and initiatives as the business requires
Travels domestically to support company operations when necessary, up to 10%
Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
3-5 years of experience as a HR Generalist role to include benefits administration, payroll, and employee relations
Minimum of one year experience in recruiting, preferably in an agriculture environment
Bilingual English/Spanish required
Strong knowledge of state & federal employment regulations
HR certification a plus
Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience using HRIS, preferably with a ADP solution
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
Employee must possess a valid driver’s license issued by California Department of Motor Vehicles
Ability to work a flexible schedule to ensure all quotas are met which may include overtime and an occasional weekend
