Instructional Designer

Instructional Designer

Location: Burlington, NJ (must be located in a nearby area)


The instructional designer will be creating eLearning content in articulate for merchant team, buyer training.

- building eLearning content
- facilitating and collaborating with teams and stake holders

Culture: caring organization, doing alot of charity work, D & I program


• Establish critical partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain insight, identify needs and design the best learning solutions

• Lead learning design projects through the design lifecycle from project scoping, research and analysis, design, development, implementation and success measurement

• Conduct thorough needs analysis to ensure learning programs align with company strategy and business goals, and represent internal culture

• Determine the appropriate learning delivery method/s to achieve the desired business outcome (instructor-led, leader-led, e-learning, reference materials, webinar, etc.)

• Partner with application facilitators/coaches for continuous improvement of existing learning content and development of new learning content

• Review existing content for relevance and conversion to learning resources

• Provide exemplary internal customer service with professionalism and ownership of learning projects

• Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration

• Facilitate instructor-led events as required

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong corporate learning background to include learning design, project management and a flair for creating engaging learning experiences

• 2-5 years of experience designing engaging and relevant learning including classroom, e-learning and related course materials; ideally supporting a retail merchandising function

• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects in a fast-paced environment

• Strong proficiency working in MS Word, MS Power Point, Articulate 360, Storyline and Captivate

• Familiarity with learning management system (LMS) technology, such as SAP/Success Factors and/or Workday Learning

• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and training design models as it applies to corporate learning

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development or Education related field preferred
