Luxury Jewelry Store Director - Century City

Our client, a new luxury jewelry brand currently has an exciting opportunity to headline the brand’s first store and its team as a Store Director at their new Los Angeles location!


- Act as a Brand Leader and Ambassador to the team and clients, embodying (reflecting) brand’s philosophy, values and aesthetic

- Ensure that the brand is represented properly at all times through customer service, client relationships, merchandising and visuals

- Contribute to ongoing development of the brand manual and own adherence to its guidelines


- Drive sales results through successful planning and execution of company merchandising guidelines in line with the sales plan

- Responsible for daily/weekly sales reporting and communication of all inventory and logistical issues to the appropriate parties

- Ensure store’s profits are maximized through effective inventory control and reporting

- Ensure the team maximizes sales potential by correct use of all resources, leadership and team motivation

- Translate strategic and business goals into concrete and individual actions and objectives


- Ensure the clients enjoy seamless, high-end modern luxury shopping experience in accessible, friendly, relaxing and fun store environment

- Responsible for client book development by registering new customers during purchase and gathering client information during events

- Has keen awareness of local clientele. Personal client book a plus.


- Be competent in product knowledge and provide feedback regularly on performance and opportunities, best sellers, etc.

- Share our passion for the designs and aesthetic


- Act as a leader and point person to the team by providing guidance, constructive feedback and demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities in a customer facing environment

- Recruit, interview, train, and develop quality staff in accordance with brand philosophy, selling techniques, product knowledge and loss prevention policies

- Resolve HR issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HQ when necessary

- Give feedback on employee performance

- Communicate figures, snapshot of the day, highlights, lowlights and suggestions to improve the business to store team and HQ


- Act as a liaison between the mall’s management and HQ

- Advise on advertising and event opportunities at the mall and in the area

- Ensure the store merchandising and upkeep standards are understood and adhered to by all employees

- Identify and resolves problems in a timely manner. Use feedback to modify and develop alternative solutions and be able to make decisions with minimum guidance

- Know store performance KPIs and implement them into weekly reporting

- Advise on development and ensure all cash and merchandise handling and LP policies and procedures are consistently enforced

- Ensure that the store and mall policies are adhered to (parking, fire and safety training, etc.)


- 5+ years of high-end Jewelry store management experience recommended

- Must have a strong understanding of the luxury client and product

- Clear understanding of store and employee performance KPIs

- Excellent knowledge of POS and inventory systems

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with proven ability to lead a staff and respond positively and appropriately to change, ambiguity and adversity

- Having an existing client book a plus

- Friendly personality, approachable demeanor, individuality and distinct personal style

- Experience working at a start-up environment, experience working at a mall

- Bachelor’s degree required
