Marketing Communications Manager
Our client in the sports apparel industry seeks a marketing communications manager for a 12 month contract that could convert to a fulltime role.
MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER, SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS & INNOVATION

Responsibilities This primary nature of this role is to develop and leverage strategic communications, creative storytelling and digital tools to support their Sustainable Business & Innovation team’s internal and external engagement efforts. Target audiences include business partners, consumers, employees, influencers, investors, media and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s). Internal and External Communications • Develop presentations, talking points and briefing notes for internal and external speaking engagements • Support development of internal communications strategy to inspire and engage employees, including defining objectives, narrative, positioning, channels, cadence and creative look and feel • Manage editorial calendar and ongoing content planning and production • Content production for a variety of audiences and channels, including digital and social channels • Curate story ideas by building relationships with team members, senior leaders and business stakeholders • Ensure accuracy of all editorial context and external outputs • Vet and provide strategic recommendations on external speaking engagement opportunities • Provide information, analytics and recommendations to drive communications planning decisions Project Management • Create and implement systems and processes to help projects run smoothly and efficiently, including work plans and status reports • Plan and facilitate project meetings, including setting meeting objectives and tracking action items • Implement and monitor key performance metrics for communications and project plans • Manage agency relationships as needed, including day-to-day communications and ensuring projects meet team expectations and are delivered on time and within budget • Continuously improve communications and audience engagement methods and tools • Work with Communications Director to administer allocated budget, including developing contracts, processing invoices and working with finance as needed Event Management • Develop and manage event strategies, including defining objectives, key messages and KPIs, and managing event plans, logistics and communications
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications or another closely related field • 5+ years of experience in a communications or content management role, preferably supporting globally branded organizations • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, including experience producing and editing content and visual presentations • High aptitude for creative thinking balanced with a sense for delivering tangible results • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple and competing priorities • Ability to understand and translate complex information for a variety of internal and external audiences • Proactive, anticipating the needs of projects /initiatives before they arise • Self-starter, with an ability to work independently and as a member of a team • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Keynote and content management systems • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and basic HTML and CSS is a plus
