Mid West Beauty Regional Director-Dallas, TX based

Seeking a Regional Retail Director for a well known beauty/skincare brand for the Midwest Territory. Can be based in Dallas, Houston or Chicago. 

Position Description- The Regional Director motivates and inspires the Market directors and boutique leadership teams to create an environment that ensures an exceptional customer experience. The Regional Director maximizes productivity and profitability by supporting and implementing all strategic Brand initiatives for the USA Retail business. He/she is responsible for building high performance teams through recruiting, developing, coaching; as well as retention and succession planning of top talent.

Major Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales, profitability and best in class customer experience
  • Lead the execution of the Region business plan to drive overall sales results and key performance indicators
  • Conduct effective and regular stores visits with the Market Directors with an emphasis on the internal and external customer experience, helping them to identify key business and coaching opportunities
  • Drive customer loyalty and new customer recruitment by ensuring a consistent, inspiring and engaging customer experience throughout all markets/stores within the Region
  • Lead with an entrepreneurial spirit that inspires out of the box thinking and business owner mentality to impact results and drive sales growth
  • Know and manage the business through effective use of all sales and financial reports; assessing results and developing specific actions related to business development and growth, consistently across all markets/stores
  • Act as a liaison between the store team and the corporate office by providing insights and feedback to enable sales growth and revenue generating ideas
  • Recruit, hire, train and retail Top Talents
  • Develop a Region talent strategy that includes consistent networking/recruitment and succession planning, while mentoring and developing internal talent
  • Establish clear expectations and assess Market and Store Manager’s performance through consistent observation, feedback, coaching, store visits, touch bases and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that all markets and stores have bench strength for future/potential open leadership roles in both existing and new stores

  • Merchandising and Operations:
  • Achieve Company controllable business objectives including: sales, profitability, shrink, payroll throughout all stores and districts
  • Responsible for ensuring the execution of all company visual and operational standards in order to provide an exceptional customer experience environment

Skills Needed:

  • 7+ years of retail management experience
  • Multi-store management experience MUST
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven record of people development and succession planning
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Retail POS software and MS Office)
  • Ability to travel to stores and participate in corporate meetings (50%+travel across the US)
