Producer/Editor needed - Hospitality Client - Westside

Our client, a leading name in hospitality is looking for a talented Producer/Editor. This role will be contract to start, but has the potential to go full-time for the right fit. The role is full-time hours, based on-site on the westside with some great office perks. The ideal candidate has experience working on content specifically for food and/or restaurants

The Multimedia Producer/Editor is responsible for the full production (development, pre and post) of Marketing media projects, including National Campaign videos, Social Media short-form content and photography and Public Relations event coverage. The Multimedia Producer/Editor must have a versatile skillset able to transition confidently between producer, DP and editor to create content that engages the viewer. 

Overall Responsibilities and Duties 

• Assist in the concept ideation, while leading the scripting and production of short- and long-form video content for Marketing 
• Produce unique, highly shareable media with angles relevant to Company’s audience while meeting brand goals 
• Create detailed project schedules and system efficiencies for appropriate milestones and deadlines that encompass initial ideation through final delivery 
• Lead the management of assigned project schedules, locations, budget, insurance and logistics associated with production execution 
• Produce and edit original video optimized for distribution on corresponding channels, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest 
• Setting up lighting and photography equipment, shooting and retouching images for social content 
• Lead the design and animation of video titles and motion graphics 
• Shoot, log and transcode footage from Marketing shoots and events 
• Record and mix VO for brand projects, including Marketing ads and on-hold phone recordings 
• Manage all media asset archiving 
• Upload, annotate, tag and transcribe videos on YouTube 
• Partner with Public Relations for press events and coverage to provide video and photo recaps 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for special projects, such as conference and internal activations when needed 
• Observe and anticipate trending media-related topics and pitch timely, shareable hooks around those trends 

Education, Training, and Work Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in a media related field or equivalent experience 
• 3 years of experience in video production, post-production, photography editing and sound mixing 
• Experience working with branded content (preferably in the food service industry, but not required) 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

• Top-tier quality production experience: lighting, sound operations, equipment and systems experience 
• Post-production experience: logging/transcoding/media management, video editing, color grading, encoding, title creation and graphic design & motion graphics; photo color correction, retouching and exporting 
• Pre-production experience: concepting, scripting & production coordination 
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Encoder & REDCINE-X PRO 
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom 
• Must have an understanding of permits and release forms for shooting as well as usage rights for image and music libraries 
• Strong understanding of storytelling and the creation of compelling, innovative content 
• Superior organizational and time management skills, a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude 
• Ability to proactively identify problems and develop solutions 
• Team player/collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills, receiving and giving feedback with a positive outlook
