Our client, a whole sale clothing company, is looking for a Product QA Lead (apparel). This position will support, execute, and help enhance product quality control process and procedures within the company’s warehouse network. This role will manage the training of QC teams across multiple warehouse locations within the US in addition helping to roll out and drive new and existing quality initiatives. The position focus is within the warehouses, managing processes and initiatives related to daily receipt and QC review of product.


  • Supervise and manage Warehouse Quality Control (QC) Inspection teams and actively participate in all related Product QC activities.
  • Plan daily inspection schedules and manage inspection team to accomplish goals
  • Perform Product Inspections according to the Product Quality requirements (measurement, workmanship, label verification, color match etc.)
  • Development and maintain documentation while assuring concerns are quickly escalated
  • Train team members on inspection procedures, reporting, and additional QC processes as needed
  • Actively involved in executing and reviewing QC processes with an eye for recommending and implementing improvements
  • Coordinate and manage 3rd party inspection activities as required
  • Position will be a dual reporting structure taking direction from QC Manager and Warehouse Cross Dock Supervisor
  • Ability to travel locally and domestically (not often)


  • Proven ability to successfully manage and lead a team
  • High level knowledge of Quality Control practices
  • Hands-on experience conducting Product Inspections
  • Ability to work independently, make quick decisions, and think outside the box
  • Frequent local and occasional domestic travel to other facilities and 3rd party locations as needed
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision


  • College degree preferred, BA or BS
  • 5 + years’ related experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role
  • 1+ years of experience managing/leadership experience
  • Ability to understand, communicate and train others in Quality Control Procedures and best practices
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of improving process and workflow
  • Computer knowledge with word, excel, access, and outlook
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) would be a plus


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, handle or feel, to pull/push cart with product, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions.  The employee is frequently required to climb, kneel/squat, bend and carry. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds, and seldom lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Work environment is moderately noisy.  The employee is occasionally required to work near conveyor systems.  There is exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions.  Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels and be able to operate powered equipment safely in a high-traffic environment.
