Production Assistant Manager

Our client is a very fast-growing apparel company based in Downtown Los Angeles and they are looking for a Production Assistant Manager! Candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, able to work under pressure as they must be able to handle the multiple responsibilities of the production life cycles from the Sourcing, Development, and Production.

Overall Description :
Assisting in all aspects of Production to maximize the company's products and brand exposure.

The Associate Production Manager’s primary task is to carry out the directions of the Production Manager to ensure the fulfillment of all orders.

•Manage and plan all production timelines, review reports, and recommend solutions to exceptions.
•Follow through and maintain time and action calendars for all programs.
•Work closely with all vendors to ensure that monthly production capacity is utilized and recommend appropriate action when issues arise.
•Monitor production status of all programs by season and report on weekly basis. 
•Track shipments from vendor to warehouse.
•Assist Manager in placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement and action plan.
•Support costing process by creating and distributing packages, issuing spreadsheets for tracking and conducting initial negotiation.
•Analyze test, quality, delivery, and cost reports, making recommendations to Manager and communicate exceptions to management and vendors.
•Coordinate and lead weekly production meetings with factories and agents.
•Manage accuracy and timelines across cross-functional team’s relative to communication and deliverables
•Assist manager in developing bench strength.
•Become knowledgeable of the company's products and services while working with production and design to reach our company goals and sales


-    Proficient in computer skills, advance excel level required. 
-    3 to 5 years of experience in apparel production management position.
-    Collaboration with cross functional teams to meet production deadlines; 
-    Serving as a liaison between departments / factory;
-    Communicating information verbally, thru email, and phone related to production to factories;
-    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, file maker)
-    Proficient in Adobe Photoshop or illustrator
