Production Manager
Client Overview:
Our client is a global Apparel Design and Manufacturing company. That delivers the best clothing at the best price.
Responsibilities:
PRODUCTION
-Partnering with Design and Tech for production handoff—establishing quality standards, fabric weights, trim finishes, factory placement, artwork, and color standards.
-Providing factory and/or raw material suppliers with quality standards, color standards, trim standards, and artwork.
-Requesting approved production quality fit yardage and novelty trims from factory or raw material supplier and passing to sample room.
-Facilitating approval process between Design, Tech, Garment Manufacturers, Raw Material Suppliers, and the Customer. Including quality standards, lab dips, strike-offs, etc.
-Maintaining fabrics from each delivery for current styles and for future reference.
-Keeping approvals and rejections for each style organized for easy reference.
-Creating trim cards in PLM for each style once orders are issued, and updating as needed.
-Ensuring that BOMs are accurate in PLM and updating as needed.
-Troubleshooting any issues that may affect delivery with Production Manager….i.e. approval resubmits, fabric quality issues, and style changes.
-Troubleshooting any fabric or raw material issues with Design, Production Manager, and Fabric Manager.
-Informing Costing Manager of any changes that may have cost implications.
-Ensuring that all fabric and trims pass Target testing protocol.
-Attending weekly marker meetings to review fit yardage and fit approvals with Tech team.
-Reviewing and handing off AD samples with Design.
DEVELOPMENT/COSTING
-Reviewing styles with Design to ensure all nominated materials are passed, and making sure that those details are included in initial costing charts.
-Collaborating with Design to ensure that garments are engineered to cost parameters.
-Costing the line from 1st proto sample.
-Determining retail pricing with Design.
-Sending initial costing charts with targeted LDP pricing to factories that developed styles.
-Reviewing/analyzing costing charts received from factories.
-Requesting counter costing and counter sourcing if initial factories are unable to meet targeted LDP pricing.
-Working with factories to revise fabric/trim if required.
-Possible international travel to collaborate with overseas vendors.
