Retail Concepts & Production Operations Manager

International footwear and apparel company seeks Retail Concepts & Production Operations Manager for a yearlong contract that could extend or convert. 

Purpose: This role will support the forecasting, planning, and logistics of the brand's fixture program across the US wholesale marketing. Partnering closely with the retail concepts team, you will build an annual fixture forecast and then support on a per project basis to submit orders, track inventory allocation, coordinate shipping logistics, and maintain weekly inventory reporting. The role will also support in managing our third-party logistic warehouse program and maintenance & repair projects.

Key Accountabilities:

Maintain knowledge of all brand global retail concepts and directives which includes concept purpose, fixture sets, configurations, hardware, and accessories that make up all active concepts

Sustain strong relationships with brand logistics and warehousing suppliers who are servicing our business

Oversee maintenance of fixture inventory reporting and accuracy across incoming, in-stock, and outgoing inventory.

Partner closely with Director of Concepts & Projection and Procurement to sustain healthy level of inventory to support program demand, optimize costs, minimize risks.

Lead in bidding, scheduling, tracking, reporting and overall management of the fixture program from warehouse to store as directed by Retail Concepts. Provide status updates throughout the process.

Manage overarching warehousing budgets and partner with the RC team to ensure all warehousing services are being tracked, invoiced, and paid on time and within allocated budget(s).

Partner closely with Procurement to continue evaluation and negotiation of warehousing, logistics, and fixture rate cards.

Maintain cost analysis reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis across scope to create trend information and highlight opportunities. Conduct regular program status reviews with leadership and business partners.

Maintain a master branded space door tracker that captures all branded spaces within each retailer’s door including number of fixture concept package, genders, size, etc.

Stay current of retail trends, best practices, and innovation to support continual improvement in business performance

Experience and Abilities:

Proven understanding of warehousing and inventory management, ideally for retail fixture programs

Ability to lead, partner with and influence cross-functional teams without direct management responsibilities

Building productive relationships with internal partners and external suppliers to achieve mutual goals

Strong organization, project management, and communication skills

Budget and forecast management discipline

Data analysis and reporting experience Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), preferred

Minimum of three (5) years of warehousing, logistics, and, or inventory management

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Advanced in Excel)
