Sales and Product Development Manager:
Job Description: This individual will be responsible for managing the Product Development and merchandising of the Window and Bedding area for the Retail and Commercial divisions. This position reports to the SVP of PD and Design, along with the President Consumer products for Sales. This is a full-time exempt position preferably located in our Griffin, Georgia office. This is a hybrid position that is mainly focused in product development with a strong role in sales with direct account responsibility. This position requires a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills, a high level of organization and attention to detail. This is a fast paced marketing and sales team environment that is driven to exceed goals and expectations.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist in driving product plan for window and bedding home textiles categories. • Manage new products and programs through the new product development process. Work collaboratively with overseas and domestic PD, Design and Manufacturing teams to drive process. • Support sales and merchandising with product knowledge and technical expertise. Work with customers on merchandising aspects and market intelligence providing expertise and ability to deliver to customers’ needs and specifications. • Assist in the development of sales and customer presentations and attend customer meetings as needed. • Attend and assist in customer meetings as needed. • Responsible for all customer sample requests and swatches. • Attend Market Weeks and travel within the US and internationally as needed by customers and to work with manufacturers. • Drive top line growth with focus in home products. • Maintain and develop relationships with key customers from Senior Management level and down to increase revenue. • Create sales quotes and develop pricing for customers. • Provide a strong focus on customer needs while executing sales strategy. • Work with marketing and manufacturing teams to develop new and innovative products • Travel within the US and internationally as needed by customers and to work with manufacturers. •
Other duties as needed Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. • Previous experience in home textiles or consumer soft goods a plus. • Must be detail oriented and possess strong follow up skills. • MUST be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Flexibility to respond rapidly to change and make sound decisions. • A team player who works well with others at all professional levels and can work autonomously to manage workload. • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.
