Senior Manager, Retail Planning (Beauty)

Client Overview: 

Our client is Prestige Color Cosmetics brand created by a UK based celebrity make-up artist. The brand was built on the notion that feeling beautiful on the outside and inside are equally important! They have received global recognition and can be found in Sephora, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Holt Renfeew as well as D2C. 

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing financial plans, manage inventory, and conduct business analysis with the goal of maximizing profit while managing healthy inventory turns. You will work closely with Retail partners (i.e. Nordstrom, Sephora, Bloomingdales) on all planning functions to optimize replenishment and inventory levels. This person will serve as the link between National Accounts, Sales Operations and Field Sales teams. 


  • Build and achieve yearly sales plan, net shipment budget and return budget

  • Propose omni-channel assortment and inventory optimization initiatives, while managing returns % to achieve company objective

  • Create weekly sales plan by account and channel based on marketing calendar, holiday shifts, and promotion cadence

  • Allocation planning for new, holiday, promo and existing SKUs both for primary and secondary locations (i.e. endcap, tower)

  • Partner with Sales Operations to ensure we are holistically /planning appropriate stock levels

  • Build strong collaborative partnerships with Retailer buying teams, Supply Chain, Finance, Field Sales and Marketing teams

  • Attend retailer meetings that relate to the planning function in order to negotiate OTB, receipts, returns, replenishment

  • Collaborate with Demand Planner to make monthly adjustments to account plan as part of S&OP process

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 7+ years of relevant retail planning experience 

  • Prior BEAUTY Planning experience w/ a focus on Nordstrom & Sephora (required)

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Mist be highly analytical and solution-oriented 

  • Successful track record of building winning partnerships with retailers

  • Ability to lead and develop 2 direct reports
