SEO Content Copyeditor - Freelance

Our client, a corporate client on the westside is looking for a Contract Assistant SEO Copy Editor (contract) to proofread, edit and track our SEO content. In this role, you will work with the SEO Editor on our ongoing SEO content projects to ensure that all content is accurate, spelling is correct, style is on-brand, and content is properly stored and logged in our tracking system. The ideal candidate is a self - motivated and diligent copy editor who is familiar with SEO strategies and is proficient working with spreadsheet software. You are a team player with superb communication skills.

What you'll be doing: 

• Proofread and edit SEO content each week for grammar, style, and accuracy

• Check content formatting according to the instructions from the SEO team

• Track SEO content at all stages of editing and provide reports to the SEO Editor

• Work with the SEO Editor to improve SEO content process and briefs

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (English, journalism, communications, another relevant field)

• 2+ years of experience copy editing or proofreading

• Background in SEO keywords and research, with emphasis on editing

• Proven experience working with spreadsheets (Excel and Google Sheets)

• Strong command of English (grammar, spelling)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinker

• Results-oriented

• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

• Attention to detail, self-motivated

• Follow instructions, open to feedback

• Eager to contribute to process, infrastructure, and efficiencies
