Shopper Insights Analyst, Beauty

**Can be based in either Greater Chicago or Greater Boston**

Position Overview:

In this role, you would be responsible for developing and presenting fact-based business analytics including loyalty database analysis, syndicated data analysis (i.e. Nielsen), brand/category trends, shopper behaviors, and white space analysis. You will function as the data expert to support the Shopper Insights department in all selling processes, presentation builds, Loyalty, and Marketing development.


  • Utilize loyalty data to breakdown current trends, shopper demographics, and be able to determine key drivers in the market place

  • Responsible for strategic analysis and forecasting and mining loyalty databases

  • Manage & manipulate spreadsheets, graphics, & business communication (internal and external)

  • Create required ad hoc analysis and reporting utilizing analytical skills; develop selling story/recommendations as output of analysis

  • Analyze current and historical customer data and formulate customer presentation materials and ensure accurate customer scorecards to support the sales team

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3+ years’ relevant work experience 

  • Proficient with loyalty data (i.e. EmNos, Liquid, ExtraCare or Kroger 84.51)

  • Experienced with Excel Pivots & VLOOKUPS

  • Self-starter; proactive; data driven; analytical
