Social Media Community Manager

Our client, a full-service branding agency, is looking for a freelance Community Manager to run an account for a national sport beverage brand (part time - 20 hours a week) for 3 months to start. - Sport fanatic - passionate, live/breath sports -Social Media fanatic - You’re culture-obsessed and always tapped into the latest trends, finding inspiration in street art, sports, fashion, film—all of it.

Your responsibilities
-    Writing and communicating professionally on behalf of client(s) and/or brand as directed 
-    Voice of (our client) on Twitter - need to understand the tone of voice for the brand
-    Listen to competitors and understand the major sports events and what is happening in real time and possibly responding to people
-    Create and distribute a brand’s content across a variety of social networks.
-    Create content, craft copy for posts, respond to comments, and answer questions
-    Execute on brand voice and tone for brands in social
-    Execute against Community Management guidelines for activations and campaigns
-    Work closely with the creative and strategy teams on campaigns and the content calendar
-    Contribute social ideas and innovative tactics that can span a range of channels
-    Monitor social conversation about brand community and competitors
-    Daily and weekly reporting about the brand’s community and competitors
-    Consistently surface community insights to feed strategy and creative ideation
-    Stay current with social trends and best practices, incorporate that knowledge into your work
-    Conduct research to ensure copy is accurate and relevant to the target audience

What you’ll need
-    Passion and interest in sports
-    Degree in advertising, journalism, or similar
-    Minimum 1-3 years experience in advertising or marketing
-    Experience writing for social media content
-    Prior experience using the social media management systems such as Sprinklr
-    Portfolio demonstrating integrated campaigns that include digital / social / emerging media
-    Portfolio demonstrating wide tonal range, from humor to emotional to corporate
-    Meticulous attention to detail, including grammar, spelling, functionality of hyperlinks, and all respective social tagging techniques
-    Ability to hit daily (often even hourly) deadlines and adapt to quick direction changes with excellent follow-through skills
-    Experience in customer service role in some capacity
