Social Media Strategist - Freelance

Our client, a lifestyle brand, has an immediate need for a Social Media Strategist. This is a freelance position onsite that is ongoing for the right candidate.

Role:

The ideal candidate has a positive, can-do attitude and has complete mastery of social media platforms. Your role as Social Media Strategist will be to ensure our brand is meeting quarterly social media goals,  determine new promising initiatives and provide reporting and analytics to drive value and engagement. You will be relying on deep knowledge of the every changing social media landscape, strong analytical abilities paired with creative thinking and excellent problem solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive brand awareness & demand for the business through content marketing & social media.
  • Responsible for managing and growing the social media presence through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and other digital and social platforms. 
  • Incorporate optimization strategies, analyze data, and research best ways to increase traffic
  • Assist in analyzing data from social media campaigns, conversion rates, etc. to towards future social media marketing strategies.
  • Provide EOM reports and an EOY deck of detailed overview and summary of social media marketing numbers.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of the ever changing Social Media landscape
  • Provide tactics and recommendations to grow followers, engagement, traffic and conversion
  • Develop and execute the content/social media strategy 
  • Campaign launch planning and execution on digital/social platforms.
  • Develop large scale social media campaign initiatives to build brand popularity and loyalty.
  • Analyze data from campaigns to determine efficiency and report results to the team and offer recommendations to optimize results.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of the ever changing Social Media landscape
  • Incorporate research, best practices, optimization strategies, analyze data, and research ways to increase traffic

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field
  • 3-5+ years’ experience developing and executing social media strategies for consumer products
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices across social channels: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube
  • Experience with social media analytics tools and content management systems
  • Experience with Curalate
  • Experience with requesting and directing artwork, copy, and/or photography from a separate individual, department, or agency
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong copy writing/editing skills highly preferred
  • Experience with fashion, health or beauty preferred
