Sr. Communications Writer

Our client, a global branding agency is looking for a Senior Writer to be a part of their Brand Communication team.You will:

  • Lead the day-to-day development of content-related deliverables and presentations
  • Help clients and teams address core issues
  • Own accuracy and completeness of all content elements
  • Participate in client presentations
  • Lead small project teams
  • Informally direct and mentor juniors
  • Manage freelancers and interns
  • Proactively provide feedback to peers in project-related areas
  • Maintain consistent client contact
  • Be an active participant during client work sessions and presentations
  • Frequently lead content-focused client meetings and presentations (depending on size)
  • Participate in and leads client interviews
  • Establish solid relationship with mid to senior-level members of client team
  • Identify extension opportunities
  • Participate in new business presentations as a subject matter expert
  • Contribute to aspects of new business proposals and scopes of work
  • Acts as principal content strategist on broader engagements
  • Lead communication audits across engagements
  • Write content-related guidelines
  • Support Marketing team by writing and editing case studies, bios, white papers, and more
  • Take a creative approach to problem solving
  • Serve as the brainstorming engine
  • Recognize and develop the most viable concepts and strategies
  • Contribute to ideation methods and approach
  • Suggest and develop new methods and techniques to improve skill area
  • Raise skill awareness and understanding across other practices
  • Write white papers and blog posts to build awareness and reputation of the skill

You’re a great fit for this position if you have:

  • 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree
  • Mastery of 2 or more content-related subjects (including content strategy, messaging, informational analysis, communication blueprints, etc.)Expertise in 2 or more industries
  • Exceptional creative writing and/or plain language writing skills
  • Fluency with basic marketing and branding concepts
