Sr. Project Manager - Automotive
Our client, a busy ad agency is looking for a PM to start right away. This is a freelance position that will start offsite and has potential to go fulltime in the LA area. Local candidates preferred.
Summary: You will be expected to have the right people in the right place at the right time to enable this agency to “move it forward” and produce GREAT work – on time, on budget and as efficiently as possible. You are a leader, a big picture thinker, assessing potential challenges/solutions before they arise. As lead and owner of our automotive account, you must be able to manage large multi-faceted campaigns or multiple one-off projects at the same time. You have a passion for process, you are a bridge builder, not afraid to put yourself out there and always looking for ways to improve workflow.
Responsibilities: Work as liaison/communications hub between all Agency team members, vendors and agency partners Manage and be accountable for each step of the creative development process. Organize, manage, prioritize and be accountable for workflow from creative development through delivery of materials to client, vendor, etc. (Negotiate/communicate with the creative, account management and production team members every step of the way). Set up and run all necessary key touch-point meetings in the process. Oversee creation of detailed timing plans (from creative development through delivery) and manage timing plan/s throughout the life of each project. Work with DPM and CD’s to manage and plan creative resources. Develop, manage and enforce a rigorous approvals process (from creative development through production phases of each project). Coordinate with production staff throughout the creative development process – ensure that feasibility checks are being done. Be proactive. Engage in contingency planning and recommend solutions. Alert team if a project strays out of the originally set parameters. Provide to DPM insight on process improvements or resources/tools opportunities. Keep DPM aware of progress on each project and the development/deployment of the process – raising concerns as quickly as possible. Ensure that agreed-upon Agency workflow/process is followed. Add projects to and maintain the current status of projects on Status Report. Lead and participate actively in all necessary status meetings weekly. • Maintain creative and production files on server. Track photography and artwork. • Support DPM and other PM’s when applicable.
Ad agency experience required, ideally working on automotive. Must have strong excel skills.
