VP of Ecom


The VP, eCommerce will be responsible for growing revenue and profitability of OUR through acquiring new customers, encouraging customer loyalty, enhancing user experience and ensuring best in class customer service. The ideal candidate will lead a team of eCommerce professionals and work with the cross functional leadership team to ensure continued success.

  • Full P&L responsibility of OUR CLIENT eCommerce from forecasting to delivering on its financial plans
  • Lead and direct internal eCommerce and customer service teams, as well as outside agencies and vendors
  • Drive customer acquisition, customer loyalty,topline growth and profitability
  • Develop strategic and operational plans for the team, managing execution, and measuring and delivering results.
  • Responsible for planning, implementation and tracking of eCommerce budget, including web platform, advertising spend, vendors and additional services
  • Full accountability on forecasting, planning, tracking and reporting on advertising spend; deep knowledge in SEM and social advertising required
  • Manage SEO content and site optimization to ensure OUR CLIENT is a leader in the marketplace
  • Drive results through increased and strategic affiliate marketing
  • Manage email program, inclusive of: marketing segmentation and personalization, transactional emails, win back strategies and testing
  • Leverage customer insights and monitor the competitive landscape
  • Utilize analytics to understand user behavior across all digital channels, resulting in improved site engagement and increased conversion
  • Create weekly and monthly analytics reports highlighting key metrics and learnings to share with leadership team
  • Identify and recommend emerging trends and advancements in the digital landscape to ensure OUR CLIENT is ‘ahead of the curve’
  • Oversee planning, execution and project management of web development projects
  • Partner with brand marketing team on website/advertising/email calendar and content generation to ensure the OUR CLIENT story is being told in a compelling, aspirational manner
  • Provide best in class customer service through both internal team and external vendors, analyze trends in customer service and implement improvement to address common issues
  • Strategically drive international growth, by working with external consultants and distributors to create best in class digital experiences, resulting in increased revenue and profitability
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross functional partners, inclusive of brand marketing, finance, product development and wholesale

Knowledge and Skills Requirement

  • 12+ years of successful eCommerce/digital experience in a growing organization
  • 5+ years of experience as an eCommerce leader, with oversight of P&L and internal/external team resources

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus (we can always adjust font size)
  • The majority of work is performed in an office setting; and employees may remain in a seated position for extended periods of time, or you can get up and work from whatever space you like to save that lower back. We’re big fans of making sure that lumbar region isn’t ruined by OUR CLIENT.
