VP of Human Resources

Leading Hotel Management Company is looking for a VP of Human Resources to join their team!


Job Description 
The Vice President of Human Resources will be a responsible for overall HR strategies and Talent Acquisition initiatives. Oversight includes: Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Training & Development, Risk Management, and Compensation & Benefits. This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities 
-Develops and educates leadership by gathering facts, diagnosing problems, providing solutions and offering objective assistance and guidance on employee-related issues. 
-Provides employee support in complex or sensitive HR-related situations requiring independent judgment and detailed knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. 
-Employee onboarding, off-boarding, performance management, coaching, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, and company compliance. 
-Guide the build-out of our culture. 
-Ensures company follows applicable HR laws and regulations. 
-Identify and partner with key colleges and universities to build a pipeline of candidates for internships and employment opportunities. 
-Partner with hotel HR Leadership to develop and manage our Manager-In-Training program 
-Responsible for managing the Busch Group's Internship Program 
-Oversee social media recruiting to include strategies for Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, and other platforms. 
-Actively recruit for assigned corporate open positions to include job posting, sourcing, interviewing, reference checking, assessments, background checks, and offer process. 
-Manage Temporary Agencies to fulfill internal requests for temporary labor. 
-Play a key role in Talent Management & Development strategies. 
-Partner with department heads to serve as a HR resource in employee relations to include. training, coaching & counseling, and performance management 
-Oversee HR communications to Corporate & Hotels regarding important updates, initiatives, and deliverables. 
-Leads the communication of HR related matters to employees, through the development of comprehensive HR content and materials. 
-Continually strives to improve all HR processes and programs, and identify and implement new ones. 
-Supports the Executive Team by providing feedback, recommendations, and counsel on all HR related areas. 
-Manage various base and incentive pay programs for non-exempt, exempt, and executive compensation and benefits 
-Provide day-to-day department operations leadership to continually evidence an integrated approach to total rewards and recognition that is competitive, cost effective, and aligned to business, team, and individual performance 

Desired Skills and Characteristics 
-Bachelor's degree 
-10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience 
-3+ years of experience in Hospitality a plus 
-Graduate degree a plus 
-SHRM certification or other HR certifications a plus 
-Fluency in Spanish a plus 
-Strong knowledge of employment law and policy 
-Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits best practices and regulations 
-Proven track record within multiple HR disciplines 
-Proven track record of creating process efficiencies in a business experiencing extensive growth 
-A high-energy individual who possesses a collaborative work style and a roll-up your sleeves attitude 
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively and influence all levels of staff 
-Ability to stand firm and remain committed when necessary, and facilitates discussion and understanding when tough decisions must be made and executed 
-Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results-driven, rapidly changing environment
