Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA (onsite schedule)
Type: Fulltime, direct-hire opportunity
Salary: $120,000-$150,000/year DOE


Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to own and scale the accounting function within a growing manufacturing and consumer products organization. This role suits a hands-on leader with deep manufacturing experience and a process-driven mindset.

You will manage daily accounting operations while providing strategic oversight of financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory, and controls, working cross-functionally to support accuracy, compliance, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements

  • Manage cost accounting, inventory, COGS, and production variance analysis

  • Partner with operations and supply chain to monitor costs, margins, and working capital

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Manage cash flow forecasting and coordinate with auditors and tax partners

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts

  • Drive process and system improvements to support growth

  • Mentor and develop accounting staff as the team expands

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)

  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management

  • Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting

  • Prior people management or mentoring experience

  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience required
