Job description
This Assistant Buyer job involves working under the direction of the Fashion /Retail Buyer: you will assist with budget and margin targets, fashion range planning and building, reviewing weekly sales, with a focus on the best and worst sellers, monitoring the fashion market and customer activity. This can be achieved via competitive shops, sales and trend analysis.
The Assistant Buyer will also attend and contribute to the Monday morning buying meeting by reviewing the previous week's sales and best and worst sellers for the buying department. This person will also be responsible for managing samples for meetings and ensuring all styles are shot for the web. The assistant buyer will also be responsible for entering in all sales orders and tracking inventory into the warehouse.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 Years experience as a merch assistant or buying coordinator
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
