Salary: 85-90K DOE

Our Client is seeking a full-time, onsite Assistant Showroom Manager at the Stamford, CT Showroom. This is a great opportunity for design industry enthusiasts to start up with one of the biggest names in the field. Incumbent is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401K match and PTO benefits.

Team Leadership
  • Accountable for showroom support staff (Client Experience Rep, Sales Project Coordinators, Showroom Logistics team)
  • Manage employee conflict resolution and corrective counseling
  • Hold weekly staff meetings to review programs and corporate initiatives
  • Lead efforts on talent initiatives, as applicable, with corporate HR department liaison
  • Manage attendance, time off and payroll
  • Reinforce standards and best practices taught during sales and product training sessions
  • Promote company culture to boost morale
Sales Growth/Client Relations
  • Identify target accounts and organize showroom visits, office presentations, out-of-office meetings to build rapport for the company and the assigned Account Manager
  • Help close orders by assisting with product selection, pricing, estimates, and approve discounts
  • Reach minimum personal sales goal
  • Work with Account Managers to identify account type and develop strategy based on account type (new, active, at risk, inactive and dormant)
  • Resolve client complaints and order issues by speaking directly to clients
  • Facilitate presentations to clients
Showroom Operations
  • Billing
  • Approve Vendor invoices
  • Work as a liaison between Account Managers and the Processing Team to ensure consistent, timely and accurate order processing
  • Provide logistical assistance to problem solve client complaints and order issues (Internal facing)
  • Maintain sample room organizational procedures
  • Merchandize showroom in line with company expectations for all products

Job Requirements:
  • Must possess a strong interest in the interior design trade as well as interpersonal, communication and computer skills
  • Must have 3-5 years experience supervising a team
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent time management skills
  • B.A. / B.S. Degree preferably in Interior Design or related field
  • Luxury sales experience preferred; carpet sales (to the trade) experience is a plus
