Associate Designer (Womens)- Wovens
Onsite 4 days a week /wfh Fri
Salary: 65-75k DOE
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and design-to-cost principles.
- Proven ability to interpret trends and translate them into a commercial product.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience creating CADs and tech packs.
- Degree in Fashion Design or related field, or equivalent experience in apparel design.
Associate Designer – Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end design and development from concept through final sample.
- Assist in developing seasonal concepts, color palettes, trend direction, and assortments aligned with brand and customer needs.
- Create accurate sketches, CADs, and presentation materials to communicate design intent to cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Build and maintain tech packs, BOMs, and development documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy for sample development and production.
- Participate in sample fittings, track revisions, and follow up on fit and construction updates with factories.
- Conduct trend, market, and competitive research, translating insights into commercially viable, customer-appropriate products.
- Support fabric and trim sourcing, strike-offs, and material library organization.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Technical Design, Merchandising, and Sourcing to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery.
- Maintain organized seasonal files, line sheets, and sample tracking to support milestone meetings and presentations.
- Contribute creative ideas and support mood boards, seasonal presentations, and line reviews.
- Help establish and improve workflows, tools, and organizational systems within a lean, fast-paced team environment.
