Our client is looking for a seasoned media research professional with over 10 years of experience in TV, digital, or streaming media research at a major media brand or agency.
Role Overview:
The Insights & Measurement Team is committed to delivering exceptional insights to support the Ad Sales division, providing superior positioning of our premium content, engaged audiences, and innovative advertising across our portfolio. This role is an opportunity for data-driven storytellers to generate sales-focused research and analytical solutions.
The Director will be instrumental in creating data and insights-driven narratives to benefit advertising clients, educate the market, and position our brand as the premier destination for advertisers in the competitive media landscape. The role demands collaboration with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, and other business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the VP of Content & Culture to develop insights-driven narratives through audience and consumer research, positioning premium content within the video marketplace
  • Organize and direct team analyses, reports, and presentations that emphasize competitive advantages to drive ad sales revenue
  • Collaborate with Impact and Primary research teams to utilize ad campaign data, reports, dashboards, and insights to enhance market materials and identify creative best practices
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams to implement strategic initiatives
  • Evaluate and assess new metrics, tools, or resources to quantify the brand’s value in the media landscape
  • Build relationships with Consumer Insights, Decision Sciences, and Content & Analytics teams to integrate learnings and shape sales narratives
  • Mentor and develop junior team members

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
  • Expertise in using TV and Digital applications alongside syndicated research tools like Nielsen NPower, ComScore, TV Brand Effect, Lake 5, Adobe, and Simmons-MRI.
  • In-depth understanding of audience insights and social media platforms such as MRI, YouGov, and SCR Talkwalker.
  • Thorough comprehension of the cross-platform media environment, including desktop/mobile, OTT, STB VOD, linear television, and social media usage.
  • Proficiency in conducting extensive data analyses, crafting compelling stories, and developing data visualizations and presentations.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strategic thinking skills with a keen interest in advertising/media research, consumer insights, and the tech sector.
