Primary Functions:

  •  Manage the marketing execution of new and existing products across assigned brands, spanning brick & mortar retail and online channels.
  • Manage new product launch process for assigned products and brands, including project management of new product launch timeline, and managing cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Development and Operations team members.
  • Provide new product color and finish trend expertise, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence
  • Analyze brands of competitors, consumer trends and shopping behaviors.
  • Recommend strategies to position the brand for growth.
  • Monitor the performance of the brand through key performance indicators (KPI)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop new products collaboratively with Product Development team.
  • Provide project management and communication throughout organization on assigned product launches and product changes. Includes planning and managing execution of assigned new product launches collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Operations and Leadership teams. 
  • Collaborate with Sales and New Product teams to develop and launch flagship customer exclusive products, including branded, co-branded and OEM products.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Creative team to develop and continually optimize Marketing selling decks for new and existing products, creating effective and on-brand PPT presentations.
  • Support Sales team in the preparation and follow-up for Sales calls, including new and existing items and packaging samples and mock-ups and any related product marketing needs.
  • Manage and initiate new item set up process, including creation of new item numbers, UPCs, descriptions and categories.
  • Ensure the consistency and accuracy of all item information in ERP system.
  • Manage and initiate new product specification sheets and new product sample requests, including accuracy of colors, product details and timing needs.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate execution of new and changing product specification sheets and sample needs. Includes ensuring proactive communication between Creative, Product Development, Sales, and Operations teams.
  • Facilitate consumer research studies, surveys and focus groups for new product concepts and existing item improvements. 
  • Facilitate brainstorming for new product concepts, and existing item revisions/improvements.
  • Continually research relevant new product trends globally, both functional and aesthetic.
  • Monitor competitors, including new product introductions, pricing, and marketing.
  • Provide packaging and sales collateral briefs for new packaging, collateral, and other product marketing creative needs.
  • Provide product copy and product expertise throughout organization for Sales, Customer Service, broker partner, digital marketing, and other sales/customer/trade needs.
  • Collaboratively with Marketing Leadership, participate in tradeshows, marketing campaign events and cause-related events.
  • Assist in photoshoots for still images and video for the brand. Will include, preparation, shot lists, product planning, and on-set approvals.
  • Website review and branding execution.
  • Will work closely with website development company on approvals.
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts, Business or Marketing emphasis preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience marketing consumer products, including developing and launching new products, creating marketing materials such as PPT sales decks and catalogs, developing briefs for new packaging, managing project timelines, and managing cross functional teams.
  • Omni channel and CPG (consumer packaged goods) product marketing experience strongly preferred, including experience developing retail packaging collaboratively with the Creative Team and online/digital marketing assets. 
  • Successful track record of launching new products, from concept through initial shipment.
  • Experience ideally will include leveraging design and industry trends, working with design and engineering new product development teams, and project management of new product launch process.
  • Strong experience working collaboratively with Sales, Operations and Customer Service teams, on all types of product related projects including Sales call preparations and follow ups, new item and new packaging samples and mock-ups and new item set-ups.
  • Experience with competitive product research and consumer research helpful.
  • Strong copy writing and in-person presentation skills.
  • Excellent organization, project management and attention to detail mandatory.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word experience.
