Job Title: Design LeadWe are currently seeking a talented and experienced Design Lead to join client’s dynamic team. As a Design Lead, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design process for apparel products. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing design projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs that align with the client’s brand identity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design process for apparel products from concept to final production
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and marketers to understand project requirements
- Develop creative concepts and translate them into visually appealing designs that align with the brand's aesthetic
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor analysis
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers in order to maintain consistent quality across all design deliverables
- Create detailed design briefs, mood boards, sketches, prototypes, or any other necessary visual assets as part of the design process
- Ensure timely delivery of designs within project timelines while maintaining high standards of quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Design Lead or similar role within the apparel industry
- Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in apparel design concepts and execution
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) or other relevant design software/tools
- Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively present ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of current fashion trends, materials, construction techniques etc.
