Our client, a leading retailer is seeking a dynamic and innovative Product Manager to join its Research & Development team on a freelance basis. In this role, you will spearhead the creation and evolution of cutting-edge digital experiences that redefine convenience for customers. You will be responsible for shaping product strategy, overseeing development from concept to launch, and driving continuous improvement based on user insights and business objectives.
As a key leader within the Digital team, you will collaborate closely with technology partners and stakeholders across the organization to translate complex business goals into actionable product plans. Your expertise in managing cross-functional teams, leveraging data-driven insights, and applying agile methodologies will be vital in delivering impactful solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
Develop and communicate clear product strategies aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
Lead the design, testing, and iteration of innovative R&D products through pilot programs and user research.
Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation.
Balance user experience considerations with operational efficiency and sales goals.
Conduct in-person research sessions to validate assumptions and deepen customer understanding.
Facilitate agile ceremonies including Design Thinking workshops, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Translate customer feedback into prioritized product features and roadmaps.
Manage stakeholder expectations and educate teams on prioritization based on impact and feasibility.
Collaborate effectively with engineering, UX, and other teams to remove obstacles and deliver value.
Utilize analytics to measure product performance and inform strategic decisions.
Bachelor’s degree
1–2 years of experience in digital product management
Preferred MBA or Master’s degree
2–3 years experience translating business strategy into consumer-facing digital products
1–2 years experience with Agile product management methodologies
