We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Production / Product Development Assistant to support the full product lifecycle across women’s swim and sportswear. This person will partner closely with Design, Technical Design, Production, and overseas vendors to keep development on track, ensure product accuracy, and support smooth communication from concept through production.
The ideal candidate brings experience in both product development and production within apparel, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about bringing product to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support product development and production from concept through final delivery
- Manage calendars, timelines, and key milestones to keep projects on track
- Track samples, approvals, and vendor communication
- Maintain tech packs, BOMs, WIP reports, costing, and production documents
- Support fabric, trim, color, and lab dip approvals
- Partner with Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, Production, and Operations
- Assist with purchase orders, production updates, and vendor follow-up
- Organize sample libraries and seasonal development records
- Troubleshoot issues and escalate concerns as needed
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in product development, production, or production coordination within apparel
- Experience in women’s swimwear, activewear, sportswear, or lifestyle apparel preferred
- Strong understanding of garment development, production timelines, and factory communication
- Experience working with overseas vendors and factories preferred
- Familiarity with PLM, tech packs, BOMs, WIP reports, costing, and ERP systems preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator preferred
Preferred Background:
- Experience in swim, activewear, action sports, or women’s apparel
- Background supporting both development and production teams
- Familiarity with seasonal calendars, sample management, and vendor communication
