Director of Sales or Senior Manager — Professional & Retail Channels

Overview:
Lead and scale professional and retail sales efforts with precision, charisma, and follow-through. This role isn’t just about holding relationships—it’s about driving them forward. You’ll own both revenue and the rigor behind it, bringing structure, proactivity, and polish to every stage of the sales process.
MUST HAVES:
– Must own sales strategy and execution: outreach, conversion, revenue accountability.
– Main growth focus: professional channel business (e.g., salon distribution, pro accounts) and retail major channels.(specialty chains and dept stores)
– Preferred experience with professional salon distributors (working with SalonCentric, Salon Service Group, CosmoProf).
– Important traits: self-driven, accountable, organized, strategic, proactive in prospecting.
– Management and Ownership over their part in company growth/their role. Strong CRM discipline and ownership.
What You’ll Own
- Lead expansion across the Pro and retail domestic and/or international channels, with a focus on revenue, reach, and retention
- Build and convert a high-quality pipeline through warm leads, cold outreach, and channel partnerships
- Design and implement 90-day and quarterly playbooks that drive sell-through—not just sell-in
- Maintain a clean, accountable sales funnel with consistent activity tracking, conversion metrics, and reporting
- Own key customer relationships post-sell-in, ensuring long-term value and satisfaction
- Collaborate with marketing to craft compelling decks, sampling programs, and channel-specific sales assets
- Work closely with operations, education, and marketing to ensure handoffs are seamless and strategic
- Deliver weekly KPI updates (conversion, revenue pacing, pipeline value, customer status) directly to the President
- Build and manage a lean team of account managers or reps as needed to support growth
Who You Are
- 5–10+ years of experience in professional beauty sales, ideally in Pro and/or Retail Global channels
- Proven track record of revenue growth and customer development (named accounts a plus
- Skilled in working with salons, distributors, international partners, and corporate buyers
- Organized, self-motivated, and relentless with follow-up and follow-through
- Conversion-focused and results-driven—not just a relationship manager
- Comfortable using CRM tools like HubSpot (or similar) with strong data discipline
- Adept at navigating both founder-led growth and structured process environments
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and highly collaborative across teams
- Clear, concise, and credible communicator
Bonus Points
- Experience selling across multiple channels (DTC, Retail, Amazon)
- Background in international sales—especially Canada and Europe
- Familiarity with merchandising programs, planograms, and in-store activations
- Experience launching new products or seasonal programs
- Passion for men’s grooming, fragrance, or premium lifestyle brands
