Event Designer (Florals)
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Event Designer is a full-time, design-forward role for a self-starting, highly creative professional who lives for translating client dreams into unforgettable experiences. You will concept, design, and help produce immersive environments—from intimate gatherings to large-scale brand activations—owning the visual story from first sketch through on-site execution.
This is a hands-on, lifestyle career for someone who is hungry to grow, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has an unwavering commitment to excellence. You’ll join a tight-knit, high-performing team that values collaboration, craftsmanship, and bold, original ideas.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and support the creative process from mood boards and sketches to detailed renderings and final design decks.
- Design spatial layouts including floor plans, décor placements, and experiential vignettes that guide guest flow and emotional impact.
- Ideate and specify floral design concepts, from centerpieces to large-scale floral installations, walls, and sculptural moments.
- Work directly with floral teams to select palettes, flower varieties, and vessel styles, ensuring cohesion with overall event design.
- Create and refine visual assets: sketches, 2D/3D renderings, elevations, and materials boards.
- Participate in internal and client-facing brainstorms, presenting ideas clearly and confidently.
- Source, select, and specify all design elements: furniture, linens, lighting, props, table-top, signage, and custom fabrication.
- Communicate with vendors and fabricators to obtain quotes, samples, and production timelines; maintain accurate purchasing details.
- Support proposal development, including pricing support, creative copy, image curation, and presentation formatting.
- Assist with project management tasks: tracking budgets, timelines, deliverables, and changes in scope.
- Conduct site visits and walk-throughs; measure, photograph, and document spaces to inform design.
- Prepare detailed design specs, materials lists, and installation plans for production teams.
- Stay current on design, floral, and experiential trends; proactively bring fresh ideas and inspirations to the team.
- Provide on-site support for installs and strike as needed—problem-solving in real time to maintain design integrity.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Champion a client-first mindset, obsessing over every detail that contributes to a meaningful guest experience.
- Bring a strong point of view and refined sense of style while staying flexible to client needs and feedback.
- Help uphold a high-performance, supportive team culture—collaborative, solutions-oriented, and respectful.
- Strengthen internal processes by being proactively organized, communicative, and reliable with deadlines.
- Elevate each project with intentional floral and décor storytelling that transforms spaces and emotions.

- Comfort reading and/or creating basic plans (floor plans, elevations, layouts); experience with CAD or similar tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience developing concepts from idea to presentation; a strong portfolio that showcases aesthetic range and attention to detail.
- Strong visual storytelling skills with an eye for color, form, proportion, and composition.
- Experience working with florals or floral teams—understanding seasonality, texture, scale, and mechanics is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; confident presenting ideas to internal teams and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure, juggle multiple projects, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and feedback.
- High level of organization and follow-through; obsessive about details, file naming, and version control.
