Overview

A global luxury fashion and retail brand is seeking a freelance AI Engineer to build a smart automation tool that transforms Excel-based sales data into polished, branded PowerPoint decks. The role also includes improving backend data workflows and supporting light implementation of tools for product image access and reporting automation.

Project Goals

• Automate the creation of visually appealing sales decks from raw Excel files

• Integrate product images, descriptions, and sales summaries into presentations

• Improve organization and access of product data and assets

• Help establish scalable workflows for marketing content and reporting

Responsibilities

• Build an AI-powered tool that:

  • Ingests structured Excel sales data

  • Matches and pulls product images/descriptions from online or internal sources

  • Generates editable PowerPoint decks highlighting top performers and trends

• Recommend improvements to how product data and assets are stored

• Assist in implementing a lightweight digital asset management (DAM) system or structured file system

• Advise on backend data organization to support future automation and reporting

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand current workflows and propose scalable solutions

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and relevant libraries (pandas, openpyxl, python-pptx)

• Experience automating content generation from structured data and image assets

• Strong understanding of data architecture, file systems, and asset organization

• Ability to recommend and implement lightweight tools or processes (e.g., DAM, folder hierarchies)

• Experience with e-commerce, retail, or fashion-related data is a strong plus

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Shopify or similar platforms for product data

• Experience with DAM tools or DIY asset management workflows

• Exposure to AI/ML tools (e.g., OpenAI, GPT, Vision AI) for content generation or tagging

• Prior consulting experience or comfort working in a self-directed, client-facing role
