- Oversee construction projects from feasibility through handover to store management.
- Manage project budgets, schedules and ensure all landlord handover conditions meet our clients standards.
- Lead and develop a team of project managers, facilities manager, and coordinator.
- Collaborate with design, real estate, operations, procurement, and other teams to achieve company goals.
- Review and ensure GC’s detailed project plans, permitting processes, and timelines are met.
- Ensure timely delivery of Owner Furnished Items (OFI) for project completion.
- Identify and escalate timing or quality issues to prevent overruns.
- Select general contractors and architects based on proposals, costs, and qualifications.
- Lead site walkthroughs throughout the project lifecycle, resolving on-site issues for flawless delivery.
- Ensure compliance with local code requirements and vendor performance standards.
- Conduct final inspections with the construction manager before handover to store operations.
- Lead post-project analysis to drive continual process improvement.
- Manage timely approval and payment of invoices in partnership with HQ.
We are looking for a leader who has the following-
- Bachelor’s degree required (Construction Management preferred).
- 10+ years of construction project management experience (high-end retail experience strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and standard operating procedures.
- Experience managing external project management firms and working with both union and non-union vendors/contractors.
- Solid understanding of flagship and standard store requirements; experience rolling out multiple stores at once is highly valued.
- Able to read architectural plans and schematic drawings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
