Our client, an innovative, state-of-the-art low-level laser technology brand within the health and wellness industry is searching for an HR & People Operations Manager to join their team!

This role is fully remote, although candidate must be in the LA or OC area. You will be asked to come into their Tustin office 1-2 times a month upon for meetings. 

This role is full-time, direct hire. 

What you’ll do:

  • Function as the glue and culture builder of the organization as we standardize our HR/culture processes & activities
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy 
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Integrate and implement company culture processes and documentation
  • Provide assistance and direction in office administration tasks
  • Perform event planning tasks for local / national social events & team building activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate has:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 3-4 years of human resource generalist and/or people operations experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Understands the state and local regulations and compliance requirements for multiple states
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS (i.e. Gusto, EasyLlama)
  • Payroll experience is a plus
  • HR Certificate a plus (SHRM CP and/or PHR)
