A woman-led sustainable fashion brand is seeking a HR Generalist to join their team in Downtown Los Angeles!As the HR Generalist you will be the main point of contact for all administrative Team support functions.You will ensure Teams have the physical and virtual tools to be successful.
The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, with the ability to proactively take ownership of this position.
This is a full-time, direct hire.
HYBRID. 3 days on-site at DTLA office
Rate: up to $85K annually
Responsibilities:
People and Staff Management
• Collaborate with each department Team Leader about hiring and recruiting, including posting jobs, performing reference checks, onboarding and offboarding.
• Support smooth onboarding process to include but not limited to Benefits enrollment, email and ERP installation, and any other required software.
• Support Team Leaders with tools and process in conducting annual performance reviews and training.
• Process Bi-weekly payroll.
• Administer employee benefit programs (Medical, 401K)
• Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper forms.
• Update Employee Handbook quarterly and maintain compliance.
• Manage a regular calendar of social and professional events (virtual and in-person), designed to build office culture and community. General Operations and Administration
• Oversee and manage day-to-day office operations, including maintenance of showroom space, equipment, and supplies, office budget and expenses, liaising with building management, vendors, and IT support.
• Be the point of contact for all level one IT issues (provisioning equipment, managing team accounts, setting up utilities, etc.)
• Assist in organization of office wide meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting setup, and other logistics as needed.
• Maintain and improve office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems and procedures.
Requirements
• Working knowledge of Federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance in all states of employee base.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
• 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, with at least 1 year of supervisor experience.
• Experience with the full talent life cycle.
• Outstanding knowledge of G suite, Excel, and Paychex. Knowledge of Bamboo recommended. • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
