Our client, a luxury fashion brand, is seeking a HR Generalist to join their team.
Role Overview: The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, skilled in conflict resolution, passionate about creating a positive employee experience, and comfortable managing multiple HR responsibilities in a fast-paced environment for USA and Canada.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and workplace concerns.
- Conduct investigations and support conflict resolution efforts in line with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Partner with managers and employees to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Support the development of a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
- Gather and analyze employee relations data and help to identify trends.
- Maintain compliance and understanding with federal and state regulations concerning employment practices.
- Conduct exit interviews of voluntary terminations; analyze trends and recommend solutions
- Produce reporting on exit interviews, hotline calls, and corrective action documents.
- Handle confidential information appropriately and escalate issues as needed.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and create job postings.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure the best fit for both skills and culture.
- Manage the full cycle recruiting process, from candidate engagement through onboarding.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure compliance with recruitment policies.
- Assist with HR-related administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, preparing reports, and coordinating trainings. Support HR on-boarding, process background checks, conduct new hire touch bases, and new leader assimilations.
- Maintain and update organizational charts, open to hire reports, and manage special requests as it relates to HR reporting/organizational charts.
- Support company-wide HR initiatives such as employee engagement programs, wellness events, and performance reviews.
HR Generalist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of HR Generalist experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word
- Experience in handling employee relations issues and dealing with labor laws in USA and Canada
- Knowledge and practical application of all HR discipline and practices
- Well-developed written presentation, organization, and editing skills
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute within a team setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and escalate issues when appropriate
