This job is about managing and overseeing the use of various intellectual properties (IPs), like movies or characters. The person in this role acts as a go-between for the park and the owners of these IPs, making sure that any usage of these properties is approved and aligns with contracts.Here’s a simplified breakdown of the main responsibilities:
- Communicating with IP Owners (25%): You are the main point of contact between the park and the IP owners, handling requests to use these properties in the park.
- Guiding Creative Approvals (15%): You help internal teams adjust their requests or creative ideas so that they get approved by the IP owners.
- Protecting IP Brands (15%): You ensure that the IPs are used in a way that matches the owners' guidelines and that the park teams understand and follow these rules.
- Strategic Planning (15%): You help plan and manage key projects that involve these IPs to make sure they bring value to the park and the IP owners.
- Problem-Solving (15%): If a request to use an IP is denied, you suggest changes or negotiate to find a solution.
- New Projects and Comfort Building (10%): You participate in meetings about new attractions or shows, helping IP owners feel comfortable with how their properties are used and making sure projects are managed well.
- Cross-Park Opportunities (5%): You identify opportunities where successful projects in one park could be used in others and assist with further research on these ideas.
