: Sr. Graphic Designer
We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to take ownership of client-facing design conversations and champion strategic, segmentation-informed creative for email and SMS marketing campaigns.
Location: NYC (3 days in office a week and 2 remote).
Position type: Temp to Perm
Rate: $40-45/hr (temp period) and $80-95k (once full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate client strategy and segmentation insights into compelling, conversion-focused email and SMS designs.
- Present and explain design choices to clients, linking creative decisions to business goals and campaign strategy.
- Gather client feedback and communicate actionable insights to the Art Directors and production teams.
- Collaborate with copywriters and strategists to ensure seamless design and messaging integration.
- Create scalable, brand-consistent design systems in Figma that support personalization and segmentation needs.
- Develop visually engaging templates, layouts, and graphics optimized for various devices, email clients, and accessibility standards.
- Stay current with design and email marketing trends and introduce new ideas into client presentations.
- Support concepting, style guides, and larger creative initiatives alongside Art Directors/Creative Directors.
- Manage multiple projects with shifting priorities while maintaining design quality and attention to detail.
- Mentor junior designers on performance-driven design and Figma workflows.
Requirements:
- 4–7 years of design experience with a strong focus on email/SMS marketing.
- Experience in CPG, Retail, or Beauty industries is a plus.
- Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; skilled in building and maintaining design systems.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and testing impacts on creative work.
- Confidence in presenting design rationale directly to clients.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including strategy, copy, build, and account management.
- Able to balance design craft with performance-driven outcomes.
- Familiarity with AI tools that support creative workflows is preferred.
