24 Seven is partnering with a well-known company to help them find a Logistics Coordinator to join their team in this remote position. This is a fulltime, 5 month contract and candidate must be located in the PST time zone. Client has a preference for candidates local to Portland, OR and able to work onsite one day a week. While on contract, you’d be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision.
Ideal Candidate: will have 2–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, supported by a bachelor’s degree or equivalent training. They are skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and offer valuable knowledge of U.S. Customs, HTS codes, and import/export procedures.
Role Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator is an essential part of the supply chain, overseeing key functions such as customs management, maintaining accurate freight records, and partnering with vendors and sourcing teams to keep operations running smoothly. We’re seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills who thrives as a proactive self-starter.
In this role, the Logistics Coordinator will take on diverse responsibilities, providing both autonomy and opportunities to drive process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Audit and update customs codes for all incoming SKUs in collaboration with sourcing and brokerage partners.
Review and validate customs entry forms for accuracy across all incoming shipments.
Manage daily booking requests in alignment with planned quantities and delivery timelines.
Research, calculate, and issue vendor or freight forwarder chargebacks for late or damaged products.
Verify freight invoices prior to submitting them to finance for processing.
Maintain organized digital records for all shipment documentation.
Identify and communicate supply chain pain points, process improvement opportunities, and potential inefficiencies.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations is strongly preferred; ideally 2–3 years, though transferable skills from related roles will also be considered.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent blend of education, training, and relevant experience.
Familiarity with U.S. Customs, HTS codes, and import/export procedures is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze and report on data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skilled at managing priorities and handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive problem-solver who thrives both independently and in a team setting.
