Job description

We are seeking a Contractor to serve as a Project Manager to support our nonprofit client with diverse initiatives including development, education, exhibitions, collections, research, and event-based projects. The Contractor will also serve as a key point of contact for marketing and communications (MarCom), helping coordinate projects across departments and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Gather project information, develop schedules, and define goals and success criteria.

  • Identify and deliver high-quality project outputs on time and within scope.

  • Monitor milestones, track progress, and manage risks.

  • Lead planning sessions, provide updates, and facilitate retrospectives.

  • Translate project requests into a prioritized work log aligned with marketing priorities.

  • Build reports to track and communicate project needs and progress.

  • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to review strategies and deliverables.

  • Promote positive, collaborative working relationships across teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management or related experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to juggle multiple projects.

  • Familiarity with print, digital, and multimedia production processes.

  • Understanding of marketing, analytics, and digital platforms.

  • Experience with digital events and content (video, email, social media).

  • Ability to explain digital requirements to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • Experience in a marketing, agency, or non-profit environment.

  • Knowledge of Smartsheet.
