Job description

My client, a leading activewear and lifestyle company is seeking an Accessories Merchant to manage the development and execution of the Men’s & Women’s Accessories line. This individual will be responsible for executing the brand product strategy and helping to establish the brands Accessories assortment, identifying new growth opportunities across all accessory classifications.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop comprehensive assortment strategies across E-comm, Store, Wholesale and International channels to deliver high growth expectations.

Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape and impart key insights into line development.

Build seasonal & annual line plan for all Accessories categories.

Partner with Planning team on seasonal investment strategy and monthly buy process.

Create and manage all seasonal assortment tools for Accessories.

Support the buying and development product calendar for all channels.

Partner with planning on in-season product performance and build data driven action plan based on results.

Uphold brand price positioning and manage the pricing strategy for Accessories.

Build seasonal Product Messaging plan in support of Marketing’s seasonal editorial calendar, providing guidance on key seasonal product stories and commercialization plan.

Build seasonal Product Knowledge info for stores and website.

Act as cross departmental liaison, creating a consistent flow of communication throughout the organization.

 

Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree.

3-5 year Merchandising experience.

Activewear experience preferred.

Background in Accessories or Non-Apparel preferred.

Excellent eye for trend right product that aligns with the brand aesthetic.

Experience delivering high growth at the brand or category level.

Willingness to travel domestically.

Excellent communication & collaboration skills.

Experience using Excel, Adobe Illustrator and PLM is a plus.
