We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Patternmaker to join a well-known fashion and apparel brand on a part-time freelance basis. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring occasional onsite presence to work closely with the design and product development teams.

The Patternmaker must have strong expertise in pattern development, with the ability to translate design concepts into accurate, production-ready patterns that ensure proper fit, function, and construction. Ideal Patternmaker candidates will have:

– Deep understanding of garment construction, grading, and fit across a range of sizes.
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address design or fit challenges.
– Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Availability for hybrid onsite work as required.

Job Responsibilities:
– Develop accurate patterns from design sketches and technical packs, ensuring proper construction, fit, and manufacturability.
– Collaborate with design, technical design, and product development teams to translate creative concepts into production-ready patterns.
– Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to patterns to achieve desired fit and silhouette.
– Grade patterns across size ranges and prepare specifications for sampling and production.
– Ensure patterns align with brand quality standards, cost efficiency, and production timelines.
– Stay current on best practices, new technologies, and industry standards in patternmaking and garment construction.
