Role Overview:

The Planning Director for Retail/Wholesale will analytically support the company on global inventory strategies for wholesale, retail/e-Commerce. The individual will help to implement and manage tools and processes for daily inventory planning operations including forecasting, reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is a team-player who can execute independently. This position will partner with Design, Production and Sales to set and ensure growth targets are achieved, buying for Retail and partner with Wholesale on projections. This position will report to the CEO, CFO and Vice President of Sales.

Planning Director Roles and  Responsibilities:
• Analyze and identify global and regional product trends, through key weekly reporting and manage current/future demands for wholesale and retail
• Continuously leverage analysis and productivity to inform global projections and assortments to Sales, Production and Design to be done on a weekly, monthly, season and yearly basis
• Measure new trends, and apply them to pre-season buys, CORE projections, and in-season actions
• Serve as a thought partner to business units on promotional and MD recommendations for Retail and Wholesale partners
• Work with wholesale on possible returned products to resale based off ecommerce sales and additional wholesale partners
• Forecast new trends and study sales history to make focused investments, sound sales plans, and identify opportunities and risk
• Develop safety stock strategies for finished goods and fabrics to support revenue targets and quick turn projects
• Provide seasonal, global financial framework for Retail and Wholesale
• Open to Buy needs to support seasonal newness investment, CORE planning, collaborating with business unit buying partners and global inventory management team

Planning Director Key Qualifications:
 • 10+ years experience in a supply planning or production planning role
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Proven track record of managing various projects and the ability to meet deadlines
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Bachelor’s degree
