Position Summary: The Product Development Associate , you will work directly with the VP Merchandiser to support the full development process.

Product Development  Associate Responsibilities:
  •  Support the VP Merchandiser to develop, maintain, and execute all tasks on the merchandising time and action calendar to hit key target market dates
  • Support similar strategies for any new product and growth opportunities as they arise
  • Solicit fabrics and prices for seasonal developments, work with VP Merchandiser to counter source with multiple mills
  • Work with VP Merchandiser to order and track all Proto and SMS samples and ensure they arrive by established due dates
  • Maintain accurate Buy Plan initial input and updates daily for weekly meetings with Sales team
  • Coordinate with Design and execute and deliver all sales tools for buyer presentations and other meetings throughout the season
  •  Maintain records for fabric detail sheets (FDS), line sheets, and other related development data
  • Set up Seasonal Style Master
  • Maintain and track Proto, SMS, and post market meeting sample requests with Sample Grid, Lab Dips, Strike Off’s and T&A chart follow ups with mills and factories daily
  • Monitor BOM and Tech Packs for accuracy
  • Sales Sample coordination for Management, Marketing, and New York Showroom distribution and maintenance throughout the season
  • Coordinate applicable records for reconciliation of sales samples, surcharges, liability, trims, and other development expenses
Product Development  Associate Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in merchandising and product development
  • Clubs and/or Off Price Markets MUST
  • Strong product knowledge and understanding of competitive landscape
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PLM. Adobe Suite a plus
  • Excellent writing and communication skills including email writing etiquette
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with an ability to grasp and execute rotating priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of PLM or other data entry programs a plus
  • Team oriented
  •  Strong interpersonal skills Educational Background Required
  •  Bachelor’s Degree
