Position Overview:
In your role as Innovation Manager you will be responsible for understanding our brand, our consumer base and our strategy and, from that understanding, bring products to market. You will own these innovation projects from concept to launch. The role requires you to be conceptual and creative as well as technical and tactical.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the VP Marketing to analyze product categories and market trends and assess the impact on brand development
  • Develop product concepts that can excite and energize cross functional team members including product development, packaging design and marketing, and communications
  • Create briefs that give focused direction to teams and guide the entire development of a product
  • Own and manage product development, ensuring that we create exceptional products that functional superiority, engage and excite consumers and deliver value
  • Deep knowledge of cosmetics products is necessary to understand benchmarks and give direction to R&D and packaging suppliers
  • Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to manage trade-offs across issues with product performance, packaging design, manufacturing limitations and financial feasibility
  • Coordinate with marketing and creative to communicate product features and benefits through packaging copy and marketing assets
  • Participate in key sales and marketing presentations. Conduct post-launch assessments and adjust plans accordingly

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study
  • 3-5+ years of innovation experience in color cosmetics
  • Beauty (Color Cosmetics) and/or Personal Care experience is required
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially written
  • Strong organizational and communications skills with the ability to work as part of a tightly knit organization
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed
  • An ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with the ability to work independently and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Action and results oriented mentality
