Salary: $50-65K DOE
One of our agency clients is looking for a Production Artist / Graphic Designer to join their creative team for a new full-time (or contract-to-hire) position working on a variety of client accounts.
This Production Artist / Graphic Designer should have previous agency internship or entry-level experience, bring strong design skills to the table, and be well-versed in all aspects of production design.
The Production Artist / Graphic Designer will create graphic art files to detailed specifications for printing, publications, digital, etc. while reporting to the agency's Director of Creative Services and partnering with agency team members from Creative, Production, Interactive, Account Services, Media, and clients in all matters related to graphic art production.
Ideal Production Artist / Graphic Designer candidates will have:
- At least 2+ years of mechanical art and production design experience
- Fully proficient with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Mac OS
- BA degree in graphic designer or related field
- Experience with print and dynamic content including rich media and digital display preferred but not required
- Organized and detail oriented, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to meet assigned schedules and stay within target budget
Job Responsibilities:
- Build graphic files that meet the specifications of the final deliverable and the requirements of agency processes
- Retouch images under the direction of an Art Director and/or Studio Manager
- Ensure that final files are filed correctly on internal server
- Maintain knowledge and skills in emerging computer tools and techniques with advertising and/or graphics applications and actively share and mentor such knowledge with other artists
- Input client time by job number daily to ensure accurate reporting and budgeting
- Participate in new business and other presentation preparations
- Attends agency and departmental training and events
- Other duties as assigned
