Title: Project Manager (packaging)
Type: contract- 40 hours/week

Location: Parsippany, NJ
Onsite: 2 days/week
Rate: $30-35/hr
About the role: We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Packaging Project Manager to support the development, production, and delivery of packaging across multiple brands and product lines. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with design, procurement, marketing, and operations teams to help bring packaging projects from concept to completion — ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:
Support the end-to-end management of packaging projects, from design kickoff through production and delivery.
Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with internal teams (creative, marketing, product development, supply chain) and external vendors to manage workflows and approvals.
Communicate updates, changes, and feedback to ensure smooth progress between departments.

Vendor Management:
Assist with sourcing, quoting, and managing packaging suppliers.
Support sample reviews and quality checks to confirm specifications and brand consistency.

Documentation & Tracking:
Maintain accurate project documentation, production schedules, and status reports.
Update project management tools and systems to reflect current project stages.

Quality & Compliance:
Support packaging testing, proofing, and compliance processes to meet brand and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Project Management, Design, Marketing, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in packaging development, production, or project coordination (internship experience counts).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Smartsheet).
- Interest in sustainability, materials, and innovative packaging design is a plus.
