Client Overview: Our client is a boutique public relations firm specializing in lifestyle and beauty brands. Known for its creative storytelling, personalized client service, and strong media relationships, the agency helps brands elevate their presence through strategic communications, press outreach, influencer partnerships, and event activations.

Role Overview: The PR Assistant will support the account team in executing day-to-day public relations activities across multiple clients. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for media, communications, and brand storytelling. The PR Assistant will help with press outreach, media monitoring, event coordination, and administrative support, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of boutique PR.

PR Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of PR strategies and media outreach plans
  • Draft press materials including media lists, press releases, and client communications
  • Monitor media coverage, compile press clips, and track client results
  • Research influencers, editors, and industry trends relevant to client accounts
  • Assist with event planning, coordination, and on-site support for client activations
  • Maintain organized files, contact lists, and editorial calendars
  • Manage product sample requests, mailings, and showroom organization
  • Support social media initiatives and influencer seeding programs
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the PR team as needed

PR Assistant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • 0–2 years of PR, marketing, or communications experience (internships accepted)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; familiarity with Cision, Muck Rack, or similar tools a plus
  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment
  • Passion for media, pop culture, and brand storytelling across lifestyle categories
